Greetings, animal lovers! We’ve been so busy over the past couple of weeks that we could no longer call this the “Weekly Update!” Below is a summary of each of the latest adoptions, events and happenings at Paws to get you up to speed.

Recent Adoptions

We’ve been lucky enough to find some wonderful homes for dogs over the past two weeks! We were able to snap some pictures to show you below. As always, our only hope is to match this success with cat adoptions. Come and visit during our open hours to fall in love with one of our feline residents. Imagine a warm, purring, fuzzy creature nestling on your lap during the winter!

Beautiful Rio went to live with a family that adopted a dog from Paws a few years ago. Rio will be adored by a little 5 year old girl who couldn’t wait to get him home.

Rizado/Rosie Visit

Rosie (formerly known as Rizado) stopped by for a visit with her mom, Lynette Frederickson. Our dog whisperer Steve was very happy to see her, and vice versa! Rosie was adopted from Paws earlier this month when Lynette came by to see if we had any small dogs. She had to put her beloved 14 year old rat terrier to sleep the month prior, so was looking for a new companion. She wasn’t sure if she was ready for one immediately, but after meeting Rosie, she (and we) knew it was meant to be.

Lynette reports that Rosie is already the boss at her new home, waking her mom up at 7:30am each morning by licking her eyes, nose and ears! She likes to climb up and perch as high as possible and her favorite spot is on top of the couch cushions. At feeding time, she takes one piece of food at a time into the next room to eat. Lynette also has to use the child locks in her car because Rosie has figured out how to roll the windows down!
