Now to say thank you to some of our great volunteers: Melita Hauge, Sally Boyd, and Mary Creager who made dog biscuits. President Brenda Manning can attest that they were “Weimaraner Approved”. The Great Dane and German Shorthair Pointer also thought they were wonderful!

Melita, Sally and Lauren Bland also worked the booth all afternoon. Lauren is new to Paws and is one of our Greeters. She was vital in handling dogs and helping set up and tear down. We want to thank Ava Westover, a brand new Greeter who stayed behind at Paws to welcome the public and direct them.

Thank you to Sam, Steve and Jenna. Sam Wempe for working and transporting dogs. Steve Coss also worked, transported dogs and harassed whomever he could! Jenna Schiefelbein coordinated our event and also transported dogs.

Thank you to our creative crew – Kaitlin Kwasniewski made ADORABLE cat and dog note cards. Web master Joanne Pullman made AMAZING 2017 dog and cat desk calendars and designed Paws t-shirts. Heath Kastein vectorized the silhouette and sun for the t-shirt design which basically makes it print ready. The note cards and desk calendars all feature cats/dogs that were or still are with Paws Animal Rescue. All our items will be showcased on the website soon and available for purchase to raise funds for the shelter.

We are saving the sweetest for last: Thank You Jen Uecker with Sugar Mamas! She came up big for us again with her delicious cupcakes which sold out and brought a ton of traffic to our area! They taste as good as they look! Jen also featured her cupcakes at our Turkey Dinner.

Catio Update

Every time we stop at the shelter, there has been a lot of progress on the catio. The cats keep sitting at the windows wondering when they can go outside! They are as anxious as we are.

While the construction is ongoing, we continue to ask for donations for the catio. This is an expensive project, but one we would not walk away from. The cats deserve to be able to go outside. Please donate today to help.
