AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: 28 Feb. 2011 SKYE is a male Border Collie / Australian Shepherd mix puppy. He has mostly black fur, with a half ruff of white, large white tip on his tail, white on his legs and chest, and brown on his cheeks, eyebrows, legs and bottom. His approximate date of birth is 28 Dec. 2010. His current weight at 11 weeks of age is 6 1/2 lbs. Skye is from a litter of five puppies that have been hand raised from five days of age. This litter has been raised in the kitchen and have been used to much stimulus including all household sounds, kitties, large dogs, and foster family members coming and going. Skye is just beginning to play with toys, and loves playing with his siblings. He is very used to being handled, is learning bite inhibition, and his place in his "pack" from hi litter mates.He is an eager eater and water drinker, and has just started eating dry puppy chow. He know the puppy routine, and gets very excited at his mealtimes! He sleeps in a crate with his litter mates, fuzzy blankets, and stuffed animals. Skye likes to have access to his crate available even when he is playing on the kitchen floor, and will cry to get in the crate so he can "catch a nap". He is a sweet, loving puppy who will soon be ready for a family of his own, who will love and enjoy this wonderful boy!
