Mocha

Mocha is a 3 yr old spayed, female chocolate lab mix. Mocha is very affectionate, so much that she has a little trouble keeping her feet off of her people (she'd like to be a lap-dog!), but she's getting better every day. She LOVES rawhide chews and has been very good about only chewing them and not furniture or shoes. She is not to totally house-trained yet, but is doing MUCH better with that, too. She just forgets sometimes that she's supposed to go outside. As long as she's put out often, no accidents. She kennels very well, likes to lay in there when it's time to rest, and is very quiet when in her crate. She's learning to walk nicely on her leash, pulling a bit at the beginning of the walk, but settles in to a nice pace. She has a little trouble going up the stairs, but does it with a little help and encouragement. She can come down the stairs by herself like a pro! She is great with other dogs, people of both genders and with cats. Mocha hangs out in the fenced yard with the foster family dog. She seems to behave well doing that, and is SUPER excited when the family gets home. She goes into the yard from the house and comes right in the house from the yard (without her leash) without running off. Mocha is a SUPER sweet dog!!! She is perhaps smaller than most labs, weighing only 49 pounds Her approximate date of birth is November 14, 2008.
