About Mist
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: 28 Feb. 2011
MIST is a female Border Collie / Australian Shepherd mix puppy. She has mostly black fur, with a narrower white ruff, a white tip on her tail, and a white chest and tummy. She also has two small white spots on her back. Her approximate date of birth is 28 Dec. 2010. Her current weight at 5 1/2 weeks of age is 6 1/2 lbs. Mist is from a litter of five puppies who have been hand raised from five days of age. Mist and her siblings have been raised in the kitchen, and have been used to much stimulus from the start. This includes household sounds, kitties, large dogs, and the comings and goings of various foster family members. Mist is developing an "easy going" personality, and loves being handled, and petted. She plays hard with her litter mates, and is learning bite inhibition, how to be a dog, and where her place in her "pack" is, just like her siblings. She quickly has figured out her daily routine, and is always eager for puppy pans of food to arrive! She has just started eating dry puppy chow, and is a terrific eater. She also drinks water very well out of a bowl. She is just beginning to play with puppy toys, and has a lively time in games with her litter mates! Mist sleeps in a crate with her siblings, and has fuzzy blankets and stuffed animals to share the space with. She is always ready to get back into her crate after a busy playtime on the kitchen floor. She is a very cuddly little girl, and is always happy and bouncy. She will soon be looking for her forever family, and a space in their hearts!
