Chum

Chum is a neutered male Lab-mix puppy from a litter of seven. Chum is 7 months old. He is black, with flop ears, dark brown eyes, and short wavy hair. He has a calm personality, is extremely affectionate, and is good in the house. He loves to chew, so you'll need a supply of chew toys so he does not bother other things. Chum loves bringing all the puppy toys back to his crate. He readily joins in puppy games. He enjoys "tugs", and loves to run his fastest. Chum likes being on the couch, either alone, or with family, or other canine housemates. Chum has several canine playmates, his favorites is a Rottweiler. He is good with kitties, wants to play with them, but does not hurt them. Chum likes to explore his surroundings, and has much curiosity for unfamiliar things. He is crate trained, and sleeps quietly all nite with fuzzy blankets, stuffed animals, and chew toys. He sits before he gets his meals three times a day in his crate. He receives treats on getting into his crate, and treats for good behavior. Chum is very used to household activity, and many sounds from being raised in the kitchen. Chum knows his name, he knows the command "sit", and is learning to walk nicely on his leash, and to come when called. Chum has not had accidents in the house for a long time now, but he does not consistently alert anyone of his need to go out, he goes out on a regular schedule throughout the day and evening. Like all dogs, Chum loves to be petted, praised, to be cuddled, and talked to. He does bark once or twice if he hears a strange noise, or sees something different outside. He is not overly vocal. Chum rides well in the care and has not been carsick. Chum does not like the dark outdoors. Chum adores going to the beach, and playing in the water. He loves to catch mice. Chum has been raised on a farm, so is not used to town noises and traffic. Chum loves being close to his family, and canine housemates, he makes an excellant companion dog. Chum has a very sweet disposition, and will be a great addition to a forever family. Chum's approximate date of birth is August 16, 2011.
