Charley

<p>&nbsp;</p> <div id="yui_3_7_2_1_1362685139540_5803" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;"><span id="yui_3_7_2_1_1362685139540_5802"><span style="font-size: x-small;">Charley is a 1 1/2 year old, tri-colored,&nbsp;neutered male&nbsp;<span id="lw_1362686569_0" class="yshortcuts">Beagle</span>. He&nbsp;is a 15" adult dog.&nbsp;He is very inquisitive&nbsp;and, as are most&nbsp;<span id="lw_1362686569_1" class="yshortcuts">Beagles</span>, sometimes a little stubborn. Charley is learning all kinds of new things in his foster home. He is housetrained. He will try to check out things, sometimes beyond his boundaries. These are not dangerous or damaging habits, but he likes to check out smells that are above his reach, such as on a counter. The foster parents are working on his "off" and "down" commands, but these will need to be reinforced in his adoptive home until he learns the new rules. He may also chew items that he shouldn't, so it is recommended that Charley be kenneled when supervision is not available and that lots of toys and rawhides be available to Charley. His chewing may worsen for awhile due to his new surroundings and possible higher stress level. Charley has not displayed barking or baying up to this point.
