UPDATE: Calyx has entered our new training program PAWS to Freedom and will be working with inmates at the Pierre Minimum Center. This is a 6-8 week program to teach manners, tricks & skills to help make the transition to a new family even more seamless! We are excited to see Calyx's progress along the way, and we hope to have found him a forever home by the time he completes his program. Apply today! Calyx is a 11-month-old male mixed breed, born on October 22, 2024. His journey hasn’t been easy—he came to us after being found alone on the streets, underweight and battling ticks and mange. But now that he’s getting the care he needs, Calyx is blossoming into the joyful, spunky pup he was always meant to be. This little guy is an absolute delight. He’s the perfect mix of cuddly and playful, with just the right touch of puppy sass to keep you smiling. Whether he’s snuggling up for a nap or bouncing around with youthful energy, Calyx has a way of stealing hearts wherever he goes. Despite his rough start, he’s incredibly affectionate and eager to soak up all the love and attention he can get. With continued care, patience, and plenty of cuddles, Calyx is sure to grow into an amazing lifelong companion.
